Nokia the world mobile manufacturer giant has officially announced in contact to the start of the holy month of Ramadan that speacial apps designed for Nokia phones are now available at Ovi store to be downloaded absolutely free. Last year their were more then 2.4 million Islamic apps were downloaded through out the worldwide. Nokia added some of very popular islamic applications in their ovi store and also updated the other application with the new touchscreen mobiles.

User of Nokia can download Islamic apps through Ovi store just to launch Ovi Store from the download folder on the main manu on their Nokia devices or they can access nokia.com/ramadan on their computer. This year their are also some featured applications which include the Holy Quran, Prayer Times, Hadeeth, Zakah calcultor, Mozzaker, Hajj and Umrah, cards and Quran Recitation from multiple recitors, which users can choose to download, based on their preference and in MP3 form. The Apple iphone’s Apps store scored 1.5 billion downloads in its first year. Yesterday Apple announced that customer download more then 1.5 billion application from apps store in one year. Apple achieve this mile stone on the day of first anniversery of Apple Apps store.  Apps store is world No1 apps store with thousands of applications, Games and softwares.

The Apps store growing very fast there now more then 65000 Apps and more then 100,000 developer in iphone Developer Program. The App Store, now available in 77 countries, is only available on two different devices of course — the iPhone and the iPod touch. With combined sales of around 40 million units at this point, each device is responsible for an average of 37.5 downloads and each app has been downloaded an average of about 23,077 times.

LG plans to launch the LG Application Store

LG one of the mobile manufacturer and one of the top electronics company in Asia is going to launch its apps store. On Tuesday LG will launch their App Store and call it the “LG Application Store.” It will be focused on Asia at first, but will expand globally by the end of the year. At launch 1400 programs will be available, 100 of them for free, and 15 languages will be supported. Yee-haw.

Nokia First Google-based Smartphone will come in September
